Ambient temperature significantly affects the lifespan of frequency converters; for every 10°C increase in ambient temperature, the lifespan of the frequency converter is halved.
Correct wiring and parameter settings are crucial. Read the manual thoroughly before installing the frequency converter and set the parameters correctly according to the application.
Pay attention to the relationship between speed and head pressure. The motor will overheat if the frequency converter operates below 5Hz.
V/f control is a constant torque adjustment. Vector control increases the motor's output torque proportionally to the square of the voltage, thus improving the motor's output torque at low speeds.
When using the mains frequency/variable frequency switching mode, the interlocking between mains frequency output and variable frequency output must be reliable.
External control signal failure issues. Generally, this is due to incorrect signal mode, incorrect terminal wiring, incorrect parameter settings, or a problem with the external signal itself.
The difference between overcurrent tripping and overload tripping. Overcurrent protection is mainly used to protect the frequency converter, while overload protection is mainly used to protect the motor. Because the capacity of the frequency converter sometimes needs to be one or two sizes larger than the motor's capacity, in this case, the frequency converter may not experience overcurrent even if the motor is overloaded. Overload protection is provided by the frequency converter's internal electronic thermal protection function. When setting the electronic thermal protection, the "current utilization ratio" should be accurately set, which is the percentage ratio of the motor's rated current to the frequency converter's rated current.
Interference issues:
Good grounding.
Installing an EMI filter at the frequency converter input can effectively suppress conducted interference from the frequency converter to the power grid. Installing input AC and DC reactors can improve the power factor and reduce harmonic pollution.
